Remember how rushed you felt in December? Same thing for me. Then, usually in January, I get the feeling that I have plenty of time to accomplish my goals for the coming year. But when you think about it, a week in December is just as long (or short) as a week in January. And the reality is, the weeks are short and getting shorter.
That’s why I took massive action this week and got a great head start on a few of my business and personal projects for the year. As a result of taking a lot of action early on, these projects now have momentum. I feel great about it.
It doesn’t really matter what my personal goals are. We each have our own definition of success. But what might be helpful to you is the idea of thinking about each day as a 24-hour unit. I know it was an eye opener when I realized that just because it’s January, it doesn’t mean I can procrastinate. Every day is “go” time, if you ask me.
What have you done this week to achieve your goals for 2011? For are you going to do today to push the ball forward?
While you’re considering that, let’s get to the links for the week:

What have I done this week?
For me, I generally don’t break it down week by week for planning or reviewing purposes as there are also variances throughout the month of each and every month that is somewhat predictable.
The only item that’s really broken down into weekly is the execution aspect given so much of our life is scheduled on weekly basis type activities. Of course, since there are so many different variables at play, that’s why I use Excel extensively and I utilize the Cash Flow Management worksheet so much more than any other worksheet given cash is the one main bottleneck for at least 98% of households within the nation.
For me personally, the weeks don’t seem to be getting any shorter or longer.
