Weekly Roundup 4-10-09
By Neal Frankle
Ever ask yourself if you even need life insurance? How much? What kind? Cash Money Life posted a great article on the subject but I might be biased because I wrote it! Since life insurance made a huge difference in my life, it’s an important subject and one I think everyone should consider seriously.
Mike at The Oblivious Investor wrote a very insightful piece about a subject few people get excited about – the mutual fund prospectus. While the idea of reading a prospectus may put you to sleep faster than 20 mg of Ambien, I suggest you read Mike’s article. You may start putting your Steven King novels aside.
My personal favorite for the week was posted by Frugal Dad. He examines the concept of “living off the grid.” I loved this article because it made me really think about how I spend my time and what I’m really working for.
Here’s one if you are in your thirties or have kids who are. It’s an article posted at All Financial Matters that discusses the 10 Financial Commandments — too bad Charlton Heston didn’t make that movie decades ago…I could have used it!
Jim at Bargaineering wrote about how to save a barrel of cash buying wine. I’ll drink to that!
Enjoy a wonderful weekend. Let me know if you uncover any great posts. Let’s share.
