How to Live without a Computer
By Neal Frankle

Could you learn to live without a computer? My wife tells me I spend too much time at the computer. She’s right of course – that’s why I’m very excited (and nervous) about the next four days. After I finish this post, my computer goes dark until Tuesday next week. What do I do if I have some great entrepreneurial ideas? How can I do the research? Have you ever gone on a computer-free diet?
In case you’re wondering, here’s what I have planned:
Early Friday morning, I’ll be “on the road again.” I’m going to San Francisco to play some music with my friends up there. (That’s right…I actually DO have a life outside of work and blogging. My hobby is playing drums, and I’ll be backing up my favorite band in the world on Friday and Saturday night.)
I’ll be home on Sunday just in time to start the fast of Yom Kippur. The holiday continues through Monday night. I’m looking forward to seeing how I do without checking my e-mail or writing a post for four days. (Don’t worry…there will be a post up on Monday. It’s a special surprise guest post written by a great blogger. Tune in to find out who he is and what he has to say.)
Anyway, wish me luck…
On to the Pilgrim Picks:
Snatching the Pilgrim Pick of the Pack award this week is Adam Baker!
He does it again with “How to Not Suck At Blogging.” Even if you aren’t a blogger, you’ll be impressed by this young man. I know I am. Adam goes through his journey of becoming a rock star in the blogging community in a very short time. He’s thorough and completely honest. Nice job Baker…
And here are the runners-up for this week’s award:
1. Digerati Life offers a great read on how to buy real estate with short sales.
2. Five Cent Nickel writer Matt Jabs tells us how to stop wasting time.
3. Liz Weston, famous writer for the LA Times, has offered to give you a free money makeover. Find out how.
4. Matt Jabs gives us 5 more reasons why we should pay off our credit cards.
5. Money Energy has some great advice for recent college grads.
Gotta go pack up my drums. Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh man… the highly coveted Pilgrim Pick of the Pack eludes me again this week! That’s okay… I suppose I can’t win it every week – also – Baker sure did deserve it didn’t he!!
Godspeed on the music tour Neal – have fun & enjoy the down time!
Matt gets picked twice? Did he pay you? LOL
Definitely agree with your pick of the week!
Have a great weekend, and I’d love to know what band you’re playing for!
Is there anything else I should look up or learn?
