“First Week Without Pilgrim Jr. “Edition of Weekend Links

As regular readers know, our second daughter began her college life last week.  While we do miss her, she’s only a few hours away so it’s not too bad.  When we said goodbye, it was very teary – at least for us.

We were worried that she’d be lonely there but she quickly proved us wrong.  When we called her 30 minutes after we hit the road, she didn’t have time to talk to us!  She was too busy with new friends…..

That seems to be par for the course and as it should be.  We’re heading down there on Sunday to visit with a surprise for her.  Since she’s a regular reader I’m not going to tell you what it is but you can tune in next week to find out how it went.

This week has offered up another amazing list of articles.  Here are a few of the best that I ran across:

This is a great article on it’s own but to tell you the truth, once I saw the picture, I knew he won the award.  You’ll love it too.

    Ha ha, yes, great picture of Matt there. Good article too – reminds me of JD’s style on Get Rich Slowly.

    Good luck missing the little Pilgrim. At the moment you guys probably miss her more than she misses you, and that’s hard to take. But nothing beats having that in your parents – as you say, it’s how it should be – and FWIW I’m sure appreciates that and will only do so more in years to come. :)

    Nice to hear your daughter is adjusting well to college life. I remember my first days of college — I wasn’t exactly that comfortable about it (new school, new country…). It will certainly be a while before I’m in your shoes though! :)
