How To Protect Yourself From the Financial Insanity of Others
By admin on Jun 17, 2009 in Family & Finance
Everybody’s got one.
A sister that bought a house she can’t afford.
A son who spends more money on the weekends than he earns during the week.
A partner who earns big bucks……and doesn’t have anything to show for it.
If you’ve tried to help somebody else change their financial behavior, you know how difficult, if not impossible it is.
I really don’t think that you can change someone else’s financial behavior. A better question is how to protect yourself when you are in a relationship with such folks. By doing that, you have the best shot at being of service to them too.
In my 3 minute video, I’ll give 4 solid ideas on how to do just that.

Good advice…this unfortunately happens to people more than we know. I also think this advice goes beyond the financial aspect of life. If you are in a relationship with someone who is bringing you down in other ways, you need to address the issue or the problem mushrooms.

Excellent point Kirk. I didn’t really consider that but now that you bring it up….it makes sense. These kinds of problems rarely contain themselves. They do in fact usually mushroom.
Thanks for your excellent point.
